Stephen Brady Principal Optometrist

Stephen Brady

B. App. Sci. (Hons)

Stephen has been practising optometry for over 25 years and has been working at the practice since 2000. Stephen has relished furthering his education, completing masters subjects in Behavioural Optometry and is a member of OA, ACBO and ACSO.

In his spare time, Steve composes digital music and enjoys reading. No wonder he’s done so much study.

Jamie White Optometrist

Jamie is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist who comes to us with a range of regional optometry experience.
Jamie is kind, patient and enjoys helping patients any way he can.

He has a deep interest in health and is currently undertaking personal study to best understand the body and human experience. He is also a musician who enjoys sharing his songs on the weekends.

Stuart Practice Manager / Optical Dispenser

Stuart

Stuart has over 25 years of optical dispensing experience. He has been with BBE since 2014 and has been greatly received by the patients ever since.

In his spare time, Stu spends time with his wife and four kids, practises yoga, is an avid surfer, and posts jokes to Facebook. Not really. OK, really.

Optics is career number three for Belle! She studied education and music in her hometown of Toowoomba in Queensland. After a decade of teaching, she then moved into event coordination before joining Stephen as the co-owner of Byron Bay Eyecare in 2007.

Belle relishes being with her wonderful team at the practice and working with clients.

Spare time usually entails a big walk or family bike ride. Belle also loves cooking, gardening and eating. Especially eating.

Ellie Optical Assistant

Ellie is a long term local. Ellie is our optical assistant and is enjoying furthering her optics career by studying in her own time. Ellie has also had extensive training in the graceful art of ballet.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find Ellie dining out and socialising. (We all love doing that around here!).

Tahlia Receptionist / Optical Assistant

Tahlia is a true Byron Bay local, being born and bred in Byron. She loves this community and the lifestyle the town has to offer. When she’s not at work enjoying engaging with the clients, you will find her at the beach or spending time with family and friends.

Kirsten Receptionist

Kirsten

Kirsten is one multi talented lady. As well as working part time at BBE, she is studying her Bachelor of Education for secondary teaching. Her main hobby is music and she is proficient on both trumpet and piano as well as composing music for orchestra. She also loves fashion history and sewing and her work outfits are a testament to this skill!
